Plastic Bank is a groundbreaking social fintech company with a vital dual mission: stopping ocean plastic and alleviating poverty. By treating discarded plastic as a valuable currency, the organization empowers communities to exchange gathered waste at local branches for cash, school tuition, or medical insurance.

The Project
Over the course of a three-day shoot in Manila, we captured both photography and video to document the profound, real-world human impact of this initiative. Rather than just focusing on the scale of the plastic problem, our lens was focused on the individuals driving the change on the ground.
